Sophia Kristjansson, CPC, Founder, SK Coaching Group

Sophia Kristjansson is an executive coach, consultant, and change facilitator who supports leaders and teams to achieve excellence and mastery in communication, strategic thinking, sustainable implementation and team alignment.  She’s been leading individuals and teams through change for ten years.

Sophia is the founder and managing principal of the SK Coaching Group.  She uses innovative, practical and highly integrated approaches in her work with clients that are informed by the latest research in human performance and brain research; living systems theory and thinking; organizational learning; cultural diversity training; change management; and strategies in creativity development.

Her clients consistently describe Sophia as a gifted catalyst who quickly identifies barriers that prevent people from achieving their goals.  She supports her clients to remove these barriers, thus creating clear passage for unique talents and skills to surface and be fully utilized to resource goals.  She is deeply committed to grooming strong, effective leaders and teams who know how to initiate, manage, communicate and sustain initiatives that lead to excellence throughout their organization.  Her practices support leaders to embed internal coaching capacities that will in-turn develop new leaders, retain talent, improve performance and change culture. 

Since 2000, Sophia has worked with a variety of Fortune 500 companies, small to mid-size organizations, start-ups, government agencies, universities, schools, boards and independent individuals.  In her work she has:

Assisted leaders to become confident and effective in their leadership role and hold accountability with themselves and their team to establish trust and build cohesion;

Developed leaders and leadership teams that know how to maximize their resources of their organizations and resolve emerging conflicts;

Helped form interdisciplinary and collaborative teams that successfully accomplished joint projects and resolved chronic territorial issues as well as build consensus and collaborative decision-making.

Sophia also has extensive experience working with individuals who find themselves in need of transitioning out of their places of employment to new venues, including companies, law firms, government agencies, not-for-profits, and other various venues.  She continues to provide this service in this challenging market and approaches the transition process with grounded optimism.

Sophia’s professional background is concentrated in the fields of sales and marketing – brand management, advertising and event management.  Throughout her twelve years as a marketing professional, Sophia primarily worked for French-owned firms and divided her career between Paris, Washinton, D.C. and New York City. She began her career at PromoSalons, Paris, France/Washington, D.C. before joining Remy Martin Inc., New York, NY and later The French-American Chamber of Commerce, New York, NY.  She graduated with her degree from the University of Grenoble III, Universite Stendhal.

Sophia is a certified graduate of Coach University, a leading training program for professional coaches and in the process of completing her professional coach certification (MCC) from the International Coach Federation.  Sophia is on the board of the Rocky Mountain Human Resources People and Strategy organization.  She also serves as a member of the International Coach Federation Marketing Committee and the Human Resources People and Strategy organization Next Generation Group.  She is a member of the NeuroLeadership Institute, the Association for Psychological Type and the Boulder Chamber of Commerce.  She resides in Boulder, CO. with her husband and son.
